Andean Water Funds Platform
The Funds reaffirmed their commitment to continue strengthening coordinated work and the conservation of Andean ecosystems that supply water to more than 30 million people in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. In this regard, a collaborative effort was made to design a project to explore funding opportunities that would ensure the continuity of the community of practice formed by these 10 Water Funds in the region.
It is important to highlight that during this meeting, the representatives of each Fund signed a memorandum documenting the agreement on the governance model of the Andean Platform. In addition, the \”First Assembly of the Andean Water Funds Platform\” was established. This commitment will allow the Funds to continue exchanging knowledge for practical application and to maintain the peer learning spaces promoted by the Platform, even after the Tinker project ends.
This meeting confirmed the commitment of the Water Funds from the three countries, as well as FFLA, to continue strengthening the sustainability of these mechanisms that foster knowledge exchange, innovation, and the conservation of Andean ecosystems in the region.
